A prominent Republican, a featured speaker at the Republican National Convention, is "blasting" a proposed law that his party is pushing through Congress that would make gun manufacturers immune to suits for damages. Indeed, this prominent Republican, when asked if handguns should be banned, responded "I'm not so sure I wouldn't think that is a good idea."
OK, so this prominent Republican is New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg, a RINO according to "real" Republicans, but the media loves contrarians, don't they? I mean, Zell Miller was all over the news, as the media relished shoving Democrats' noses in his particularly bizarre form of ornery betrayal of his party's core principles.
So, Fox, CNN and the rest, when will we start seeing Republicans on our screen who disagree with the leaders of the party about "core" Republican issues, like gun control, abortion, SS privatization and the rest? Controversy sells, doesn't it?
